Featuring a selection of tactile resources, this collection is specifically curated for children aged 1–2 years to encourage co-ordination, purposeful movement, and build on their fascination with how things work within the world around them.
This collection supports meaningful early exploration, particularly for young children developing gross motor skills and spatial awareness. The pull-along puppy and dinosaur supports children to understand the relationship between their own movement and the objects following them, while the push-along duck and spinning top offer rhythmic movements. These interactions help children explore ideas about distance, direction and speed and offer practitioners language opportunities linked to movement and position, such as fast, slow, stop and go.
Purposeful movement also supports sustained involvement and social interaction. Shared use of the pull-alongs naturally encourages collaboration and turn-taking as children navigate together.
